Happy Halloween

Jace was a little lion for Halloween. He was a very good sport about the costumes- I don't think he tried to take it off once. At school they had a parade and then a celebration in the pumpkin patch- he wore his "cooler" lion costume to that event. For those of you not from Texas, Halloween can still be very warm. Luckily this year was a little cooler, but we were glad to have this second costume, eventhough Steve thinks he looks like a Pilgrim in the pictures. Steve was able to take the day off so he caught some of it on video (see link off to the left- to be posted soon). Notice the poor Little Elmo- he was in the dark most of the event!

In the evening we headed over to our friend's house to do some trick-or-treating, or that was the plan anyways. Jace ran around a bit in his costume, but by the time the gang was ready to go, he was ready to go to bed. He has been trying to get over an ear infection this week, and we think there are more teeth coming in (today's signs were lots of drool and a finger always in his mouth). He is normally in bed by 7, but this week it had been 6:30, so his time was up! Maybe we will actually do some trick-or-treating next year..

Weekend with Grandma

This weekend my mom came in to stay with Jace while Steve and I got away for our Anniversary. They had a good time, and mom found their "spot"- IHOP- he is a fan of scrambled eggs and pancakes. Thanks again mom!

As always I was horrible about taking pictures, so there are none to post of the two of them. But I did get a new lens for my camera as an anniversary gift so hopefully I will be inspired to be better next time. I did get some precious photos from dinner time. He loves vanilla ice cream...

Well, I guess Steve thought we were the only ones out there without a blog, or that we had too much free time on our hands (hah!), so we are starting one. With friends and family so far away it helps us all keep in touch- so on to blogging....

Last weeked we had a pretty successful photo session (was supposed to be his 1 year pics, but Hurricane Ike postponed that). We have not seen all the pics but we have gotten a sneak peak- take a look http://studiobloomphoto.blogspot.com/. You might have to scroll down a little to get to us (posted Oct16th).

Today we visited the pumpkin patch. Jace loves going anywhere outside, so he liked it, but I am not sure what he thought about the pumpkins- he would never really go close to them on his own. Getting a picture of him these days is close to impossible now that he has gotten a hang of walking, so he is not really into sitting still, and is easily distracted when other kids are around- We tried!
