Baths and Bonding

Well, last night Kylie had her first sponge bath. As is always the case, she was not too big of a fan, simply because she was cold despite my best efforts to keep her covered. But she smelled so pretty afterwards, and it was funny that she looked like she had so much more hair when it was all clean.


Today we had a step forward with Jace. I came out of the bedroom with Kylie and he asked to hold her. Well, actually he wanted to carry her, but we quickly explained she was too heavy, so he settled for sitting with her on the couch. So several times through the day he asked to hold her. He pointed to all her parts- hands, feet, hair, etc. And then I asked him to say "I love you" and he actually said "I love you baby". Too cute.



Today was pretty busy. Steve had set up a session with a local photographer to come take newborn pics of Kylie here at the house. We also got some in with all of us. It was the one thing I regretted not ever doing with Jace- and I really liked this photographer last time we used her. So I am eagerly anticipating the sneak peek that she will send next week- I will send the link once I get it.

This afternoon we took Steve's mom to the airport. She was a great help watching Jace while we were at the hospital and then even after. Thanks Meme. We have the next couple days on our own- yikes!
